Medals. Medals. The Prime Minister endorsed the recommendations from the Medal Review which was conducted by Sir John Holmes, and announced the decision to award retrospective medallic recognition to Veterans from the Arctic Campaign and the aircrew who served in Bomber Command in the form of an ‘Arctic Star' and a ‘Bomber Command Clasp' to recognise and reward the service and dedication of those individuals involved. Eligible individuals for the ‘Arctic Star' will be awarded a ‘Boxed Medal Set' comprising of a star medal, a ring mount, a suspender ring, a medal ribbon set in a presentation box (presentation box to be provided by the Authority). The ‘Bomber Command Clasp' will be awarded a ‘Boxed Clasp Set' comprising of a clasp, glue dot mounted onto the appropriate medal ribbon set in a presentation box (presentation box to be provided by the Authority).
