Following an extended and extensive period of review which concluded in December 2017 it has been decided that the council commissions a mix of accommodation based services and floating support, with floating support services comprising the standard offer and preferred option for support.The ambition is that future provision will align with the model of service transformation including the local care organisation, one commissioning organisation and neighbourhood working. The focus of the new model is on self-help and self-care – encouraging customers to take ownership of improving their quality of life and developing independent living skills.
