The Provision of Primary Care and Substance Misuse GP Services.

Descriptions

Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust are looking to commission a service that provides high quality primary care services that are equivalent to that available to patients in the community, within the constraints of custody. Prison healthcare is delivered to serving prisoners, both convicted and on remand, including considerations of discharge, through-care and health related resettlement needs. Healthcare is an integral part of the Prison Service and as such, the Provider is required to work in an integrated, co-operative and coordinated way with the prison service in the delivery of health services. The service provided will need to be responsive to the changing needs of the population.
