The Provision of Training Services for Social Workers in Adult Services

The Workforce Development Team is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced training provider(s) to deliver a training course aimed at Social Workers within Adult Services. The course is expected to be split into two sessions each lasting a day to cover all the learning outcomes listed below:•Understand and use co-productive approaches in professional interactions with citizens and their families and communities.•Develop skills in critical reflective practice, in order to confidently and expertly judge the impact of professional interactions with citizens.•Use a range of different assessment tools to empower and work with the whole family•Understand the changes introduced as result of the Social Services and Well Being Act (Wales) 2014•Manage conflict and deal with difficult conversations with confidence and respect•Understand the distinction between a reassessment and a review, in order to meet ongoing outcomes and aspirations•Support people to understand changes relevant to them, including developing services•Understand the importance of and develop the skills necessary to deliver a positive approaches to risk management.
