The Supply of Capability for the Decontamination and Sterilisation of Reusable Medical Devices Used

Sterilisation, disinfection and hygiene devices. The Medical Supplies Project Team of the Defence Equipment and Support Organisation of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to contract with Thermometrix UK for the supply and service of Medical Device Decontamination Capability (MDDC).It is considered that this contract can be placed using the Negotiated Without Prior Publication Procedure pursuant to Article 31(1) (c) of Directive 2004/18/EC (Regulation 14(1)(a)(iv) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (PCR)).This is because of the urgent and unforeseen requirement for support to the MDDC equipment which has recently under gone a number of technical changes which were not covered under the existing contract.The Authority's contract for the supply and support of its MDDC Equipment is now both technically and financially out of scope from when it was originally advertised in 2008 and the contract then being placed in 2009.The Authority is intending to place an interim contract to support the MDDC Equipment and to include the additional requirements for Hibernation and production Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP's) for a period of six months to ensure the Authority has the Continuity of Supply of this equipment to support the frontline commands, whilst undertaking a full Re-Let programme.
