The Supply of Electronic Equipment Training Rigs.

Descriptions

Electromechanical equipment. 1. The manufacture and supply of five training systems which will be used to train staff in the operation and maintenance of specific electronic equipment.2. The task will be a build from print an existing design, and involves:2.1 assembly of training rigs.2.2 testing of the rigs (including production verification and safety). This will be carried out to the test specifications provided by the Authority;3. The assembly will consist of the following mechanical and electrical components:3.1 metal fabrications, including paint or other finishes as required;3.2 machining of metal components, including paint or other finishes as required;3.3 building of mechanical frames/housings as sub assemblies;3.4 purchase of specified electrical components and sub assemblies to build the power distribution system;3.5 assembly of complex cable assemblies.4. If required, a one-page drawing of the requirement is available on receipt of email request to assist with your decision to respond. To request the drawing, please email DES FP-CommGrad2@mod.uk.5. The final assembly will require integration of electrical and electronic equipment, which will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment. It will therefore require the contractor to have established procedures for the control of this.6. The planned deadline for delivery is February 2014.5. Contractors wishing to express an interest in this requirement are required to:5.1 Submit evidence of experience in this type of work in no more than two A4 pages;5.2 Submit evidence of successfully completed similar tasks in the past 5 years;5.3 Submit a copy of their accredited 3rd party Quality Management System QMS;7. Down Selection:7.1 Those contractors who meet the minimum requirements, and satisfy the authority's requirements regarding previous work of this type, will be sent an invitation to tender.7.2 Contractors should note that the Authority reserves the right to require those contractors who express interest in this requirement to complete a PQQ prior to inclusion in the tender.8. Award Criteria:The most economically advantageous tender, in terms of cost, time and performance considerations.
