— Steam-generating boilers;— Thermal insulation work.The company receives and processes over 500 000 tonnes of waste per year.We generate electricity from waste — enough to supply 70 000 homes — and recycle a variety of materials. Our mission is to provide efficient and environmentally responsible solutions to divert waste from landfill and benefit the community. The main site is the Eco Park at Edmonton which covers 44 acres, employs around 250 employees and contractors and has a turnover of circa 50 000 000 GBP. LondonWaste Ltd has 5 boilers burning household refuse, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each boiler undergoes an annual statutory survey, at which time additional repairs are carried out. Typically this may include replacement of boiler tubes, blast cleaning of fireside, overhaul of roller grates, replacement of plate work and castings and overhaul of electrostatic precipitators. Additionally boilers are scheduled to undergo tube replacement approximately 6 months after survey and at this time it may be prudent to carry out other repairs.The purpose of this contract is to have available to LondonWaste Ltd, at short notice, the necessary resources to carry out insulation to pipework, valves, fittings and flat or curved surfaces of associated plant. The successful tenderer will be required to make available 24 hours a day, a Manager, labour and equipment to carry out the work initiated by our Mechanical Engineer. The Contractor's Site Manager will be responsible for organising, coordinating and controlling the work on-site and for liaising with the Mechanical Engineer and any other contractors working in the vicinity.Potential suppliers will be required to demonstrate their capability to fulfil these requirements based upon their previous experience, as part of their response to this Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. The duration of the contract is for a period of 4 years with an option to extend by a further 12 months, subject to agreement by both parties. All communication from providers during the period of this Pre-Qualification Questionnaire stage must be directed via the Delta e-Sourcing procurement portal. You will need to register as a supplier on Delta.Important:The PQQ Access Code is CM86ZZSP. You will be required to complete the PQQ and submit it together with all relevant attachments before the stated deadline. Failure to comply will result in your organisation being excluded from the process. A copy of the Invitation to Tender is provided in excel format for ‘Viewing Only’ at this stage. Only those suppliers who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in the tender process.Thank you for your cooperation.
