Essex County Council are carrying out a procurement to appoint a supplier to provide a Residential Covid Positive Designated Setting (to include both residential and nursing care) within the County to meets adults care needs when they are well enough to be discharged from hospital, but currently unable to continue their onward journey due to testing Covid Positive.
The Council intends to initially award to one successful bidder on a rolling 3 month contract, but with a view to ranking the remaining bidders to call upon should

Source capacity for a Covid positive designated setting within the County of Essex as part of arrangements to support the safe discharge of Covid positive patients requiring residential care from acute hospital or the community before being able to return to a residential setting or their own home, whilst ensuring strong infection prevention, protecting care home communities and maintaining the necessary flow within the acute and community hospital sector.
