This procurement is for replacement with new of the current Axle box bearings and Suspension tube bearings on the Piccadilly Line of the London Underground as part of its life extension programme.The proposed quantities to be replaced with new will range from 0-100 % replacement rates, and the parts are required to be supplied in accordance with the known specification for the Axle box bearings and suspension tube bearings respectively.Any framework agreement awarded will be on a zero value basis with no obligation for Tube Lines to purchase any minimum number of parts.Tube Lines reserves the right to up issue the technical specification with amendments prior to submission of bidders best and final offers.A framework agreement is sought with a view to replacing the parts between 2013 and 2017 in line with the Piccadilly line life extension programme.The requirement is to seek bids in two lots as detailed below:Lot 1: Axle Box Bearings (TLL7859).The supply of up to 4128 Axle box bearings.Lot 2: Suspension Tube bearings (TLL7862).The supply of up to 2752 Suspension tube bearings (2 types).Tube Lines reserves the right to contract with a single provider for both lots provided that this provider offers the most economically advantageous offer. In this case, the Framework agreement internal reference may be one and the same for both lots.In accordance with the terms and conditions for Framework agreements, Tube Lines Limited reserves the right to decide on the final quantities to be called off in accordance with the Framework agreement.
