The Tobacco Dependency Treatment Advisor will offer personalised, evidence-based support for patients with tobacco dependency attending the outpatients department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (BHNFT). To ensure the effectiveness of the service, monitoring, evaluation and key performance indicators will be implemented, and the QUIT service at BHNFT will be required to submit monthly reports to SWYPFT and Yorkshire Smokefree Barnsley will be required to submit reports to BHNFT. The contract length for this project will be one year. Three months prior to the end of the contract period, it is expected that BHNFT will provide Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) Public Health team with an evaluation of the service detailing its effectiveness.
