Toilet Blocks Complete Refurbishment

Descriptions

Refurbishment works of all toilet blocks within the school. Refurbishment will consist of, but not be limited to the following; •Preliminaries, survey and facilitating works •Removal of all existing flooring and sub-bases in all toilet areas and replace with new bases, edges, coving and appropriate floor covering materials – finishes to be agreed with the Client (Fairway Primary) and EC MAT •If required, undertake camera survey of all drains to confirm integrity of structure and condition •Removal of all existing toilet cubicles, doors and partitions and replace with new installations – finishes and final configurations to be agreed with the Client and EC MAT •Removal of all existing items of sanitary ware fixtures and fittings and replace with new and to be self-contained / boxed in / integral to overall design – to include finishing surfaces, cupboards, service access, etc.- finishes and final configurations to be agreed with the Client and EC MAT •Install new doors and architraves, to all doors to include ironmongery, push plates, kick plates, handles, etc. •Removal of and/or relocate all existing plumbing, heating and electrical services with new and where possible, to be self-contained / boxed in •To remove all existing dilapidated heaters / and provide all new wall mounted heaters, boilers, automated hand dryers and radiators – Final quantities and locations to be agreed •Provide new lighting installations in all toilets to ensure appropriate levels and emergency fittings as required – contractors are to propose most energy efficient appliances and fittings •To board, skim and decorate all walls and ceilings as required – final colour scheme to be agreed with Client and EC MAT •To board over ceilings / raise up if possible and redecorate - final colour scheme to be agreed with Client and EC MAT •Install tiling to ‘half way up’ around all walls in all toilets – final colour scheme to be agreed with Client and EC MAT •Where found, remove all existing old and damaged extraction systems and services and install new with appropriate special flow and extraction rates – these may be linked to lighting sensors •Install as and where required new and additional services to include plumbing, heating electrical works to fuse boards, Boilers and mains services •IMPORTANT NOTE: all modification and/ replacement works to electrical, gas and water supplies will fully comply with statutory, industry and regulatory requirements – certification of all installations is required •All works to include disposal off site of all materials as required •Any on site storage requirements may be agreed with the Client, however, Contractor(s) included a sum for external separate storage for tools, equipment and supplies
