Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (the Contracting Authority) invited tenders from Architects and Building Contractors as detailed in the Contract documents and upon the terms and conditions contained in the Conditions of Contract. The procurement took the form of a competitive tender. The Framework is split into two Lots. Lot 1 - Architects and Lot 2 - Building Contractors.The Pontmorlais Townscape Heritage scheme (TH) is an historic buildings improvements grant scheme funded under the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) programme in conjunction with Cadw and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MTCBC) (the Contracting Authority). Its main objectives are to increase the awareness of the qualities of the built heritage and to encourage people back into the Pontmorlais Heritage Quarter. Its purpose is to ensure high quality, traditional repair and reinstatement by encouraging grant applications. It aims to improve the image and character of the architecture and reinforce its local distinctiveness.
