The Access & Inclusion Service in Rhondda-Cynon-Taf provides support for children and young people with a range of difficulties including sensory impairments, social and behavioural difficulties, speech language and communication disorders including Autistic Spectrum, physical and medical disabilities and specific learning difficulties.The Project requires a specialist Organisation/Organisations to provide placement opportunities for training and work to support the target group of 14-19 learners within Rhondda Cynon Taf and deliver a provision that meets Special Educational Needs.The provision will include experience in a work/training environment to prepare learners for work as well as offering accredited OCNs at appropriate levels in a variety of industries, with a view to developing NVQ qualifications in the future. The provision will include activities to encourage learners to develop social skills, confidence, promote positive self-image and self- esteem. Learners will also require further development of basic Literacy, Numeracy and Key Skills and independent living skills.
