As part of the Council’s requirements under the Equality Act 2010 we must provide a translation and interpretation service. This service needs to cover several different areas of delivery such as:— face to face interpretation,— over the phone interpretation,— text translation,— online interpretation.It will also need to support the council to meet its challenging targets around channel shift and our digital first approach. Through this process we are aiming to deal with a larger proportion of our service through digital routes.
