Translink — Supply and Install Modified Fume Extraction System in NIR Adelaide Depot
Descriptions
NI Railways wish to modify the current fume extraction system at the NIR Adelaide Belfast with an extraction system that can cater for the current fleet and any further fleet upgrades. The existing fume extraction system in Adelaide Depot was designed to suit three car diesel multiple units (DMU). Currently NIR are awaiting delivery of 21 additional intermediate DMU cars that will change the fleet to a mix of three car and six car DMU. The existing extraction system is not suitable for this change due to the site layout for the maintenance of three car DMUs. NIR wish to modify the existing extraction unit to allow for the extraction of 1 x 6 car unit or 2 x 3 car units in each of the two maintenance roads in Adelaide depot. This will require the addition of six additional extraction arms (3 per maintenance road) that do not interfere with the existing extraction system that can be controlled from the existing extraction control boxes. Your proposal must be submitted within the eTendersNI portal, via this CfT. No other method of submission will be accepted.
