UCAM 004/17 — For the provision of single longitudinal mode laser light at: LOT 1: 370 nm and LOT 2:
Descriptions
The University of Cambridge, Department of Physics provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of art research facilities. The user is performing ultracold atom experiments and is building a new apparatus for cooling and trapping Erbium atoms. The department requires single longitudinal mode laser light at two different wavelengths namely 401 and 370 nm. These will subsequently be referred to Lot 1 (the 401nm) and Lot 2 (the 370nm). The detailed specifications for each of these is described in section 3.Lot 1: the 401nm laser light will be used for laser cooling of Erbium atoms.Lot 2: The 370nm laser light will be used for laser trapping of Erbium atoms. We invite tenders for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately and additionally for a combined system that simultaneously can produce both wavelengths.
