Awarded
UCC/2022/34 - Delivery, Installation & Commissioning of a Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) System at the Tyndall National Institute
Descriptions
Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, and installation of a deep level transient spectroscopy system (DLTS) to characterise electrically active defects in a wide range of materials. The system will be capable of detecting trace levels of electrically active defects (intrinsic or contaminants) with the highest sensitivity using suitably prepared test structures. DLTS analysis will enable important parameters such as defect concentration (and concentration profile), activation energy, defect capture cross section to be extracted on test structures (diodes) as well as full devices (transistors). The technique will be an essential tool in the development of new materials such as wide band gap materials for power electronics and semiconducting oxides for advanced integrated circuits with added functionality.
