This is a bilingual notice, please scroll down for WelshCultural Ambition: Diversifying the heritage workforce through collaboration, opportunity and skillsProject background:Creative & Cultural Skills is leading on an HLF Skills for the Future programme in collaboration with Museums, Archives and Libraries Division (MALD) in Welsh Government, and a group of lead heritage partners across Wales. The project will create 33 12-month training placements across Wales over a three-year period. The trainees will be aged 18-24 and non-graduates who are not in education, employment or training. Linking strongly with the Fusion: Creating Opportunities through Culture programme and the Andrews report Culture and Poverty, trainees will primarily come from communities experiencing economic disadvantage and be targeted at current Communities First areas in Wales.Each young person will be working towards an NVQ 2 qualification in Cultural Heritage and will complete a combination of units which have been identified by the project lead partners. Young people will complete their placement on three sites, the leader partner will host a 12 month placement, and then two local partners will host additional 3 month placements.Proposed cohort dates are as follows: (subject to change based on training provider recruitment timeline)Cohort 1) Sept 2018-Aug 2019Cohort 2) January 2019-December 2019Cohort 3) October 2019- September 2020Tender brief:Creative & Cultural Skills would like to recruit a training provider at the start of the project who will take the lead on the delivery and assessment of a tailored NVQ 2 qualification in Cultural Heritage to a pan-Wales cohort as part of this funded project.Tender submissions are invited from training providers by 29th March 2018 from applicants able to demonstrate successful delivery of cultural venue vocational qualifications in the past, and should highlight how the following will be delivered:-Coordinating an annual cohort of 11 learners who will be based in different geographical areas of Wales-Delivery of qualifications for young people who are based on three separate sites during the course of their twelve-month placement-Supporting learners completing their qualification in English and Welsh-Demonstrating how assessment will be completed on a face-to-face and remote basis (NB tablets will be provided for each of the learners)-Reporting to Creative & Cultural Skills in the case of any issues arriving with learners (absence, non-completion of work etc)-Outline which staff members will be working on this project (IQA, EQA, Assessors etc)-How to support sites when they are recruiting their trainee-Monitoring data for the evaluator (total number of young people enrolled with the training provider and total number of young people who complete the qualification)-Outline how to manage overlapping cohorts-Providing pastoral care, if required, to learnersLegacy:Applicants should outline how they will contribute to the legacy of the project, and how they could support and encourage the participating venues to continue to run the qualification after the end of the project.Timelines:Applicants should outline their qualification delivery model over a twelve month period.
