Descriptions
The procurement is for the supply of a 10 Hz, 30 mJ-class, 1030 nm pulsed laser amplifier system (the "System"), comprising the main amplifier, a fibre-coupled seed laser, and associated ancillary equipment.
The System is required by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) to support a prototype demonstrator programme investigating diode-pumped solid-state laser (DPSSL) technologies, including assessment of performance, efficiency, and scalability for future high-energy laser applications.
The System will be supplied, installed, tested, and operated at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), UK, and will be used as part of experimental and developmental research activities.
