Construction work for military buildings and installations. Construction and Demolition work. A Contract for the design and construction of Contract 4A (Technical Site) which is part of the redevelopment of the existing military Air Station at RNAS Yeovilton. Contract 4A (Technical Site) includes the following works;— Demolition and new build of Squadron Office Accommodation,— New build Squadron accommodation,— Refurbishment of existing office accommodation,— Refurbishment of operational support buildings,— Refurbishment of Armoury,— Alterations to existing hardstandings (including car parks),— Installation of Video Fire Detection System to hangars,— Modification of existing hangar layouts and supporting infrastructure,— Infrastructure upgrades including gas, electrical, water and drainage.rincipal Contractor, the successful bidder will have sole responsibility for delivery of the contract and is required to manage and co-ordinate an integrated supply chain (including consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers) to perform all tasks necessary to achieve the requirements of the output based specification.In performance of the contract, the Principal Contractor will be required to interface with the Ministry of Defence's specialist advisers on issues such as security, health and safety, fire safety, environment/sustainability and Counter Terrorist Measures (CTM), existing MoD contractors and service providers, Local Planning Authority (including Highways) and occupants of the site.
