Descriptions
The North Wales Wildlife Trust's (NWWT) Upper and Middle Dee INNS Management project (UMDIM) aims to manage the invasive non-native plant species Himalayan balsam on both banks of the river Dee between Berwyn (SJ 23365 42295) and Wenffrwd Nature Reserve (SJ 23423 42327) Denbighshire.Invasive species are one of the main drivers of biodiversity decline globally. The environmental, economic, and social impact of invasive species in Wales will continue to grow unless they are managed with a sustainable and joined-up approach. The work outlined within this tender will complement invasive species management alreadyundertaken by NWWT's North Wales Resilient Ecosystem Pilot Project (NWREPP) working in Upper Dee area.NWWT wishes to appoint an organisation to work with us to manage the invasive non-native plant speciesHimalayan balsam, to facilitate the development of our management strategy of controlling invasive non-native species in the River Dee Catchment which has been running for over a decade.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=122845.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
