Underdrainage on the Gwent Levels Tender

This is in two parts and can either be bid for separately or together. For the first part, the consultant should provide a qualitative conceptual assessment of the current hydrological regime of the Gwent Levels catchment as a whole and the six Gwent Levels SSSI in particular. For the second part, the contractor will explore how underdrainage might affect the wider SSSI features, including habitat, biodiversity and drought and flood risk resilience.The detailed work in Part 1 will be required in order to fulfil the requirements of Part 2. Therefore, if separate consultants are involved there should be liaison between the two parties and the Underdrainage Project Team to agree timelines, release of results and to ensure a common understanding of the issues.
