Descriptions
The Contracting Authority is the owner of a site on which has been deposited a large amount of mixed waste [estimated at 17,500 tonnes] spread over some 13 stockpiles.The waste stockpiled on site comprises a mix of household rubbish, wood/wood chip, finer material and builders/demolition waste etc.The Contracting Authority is seeking expressions of interest from relevant contractors to enter into discussions concerning the safe treatment and removal of said waste from the site in line with the Contracting Authority's requirements in order to assess the merits of undertaking a competitive tendering process to appoint a contractor at a later date.The Contracting Authority's intention at this stage is to formulate plans and gain an opinion on the fair market rates for the safe treatment and removal of the waste at the site.
