'Merlin are seeking expressions of interest from providers of enhanced Housing Management systems for Independent Living Schemes that ensure that residents have their housing needs met. The system must be proven to be housing benefit eligible. This is an absolute condition of this service and expressions of interest that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted. The system should allow for the customer to: Make daily contact to confirm their housing needs are being met and that there are no issues that need to be raised regarding their property; Be confident about the effective escalation process; Have an alternative device if they have no land-line; Be able to receive pre recorded and/or emergency messages; Be suitable for both Independent Living Schemes and General Needs properties. Businesses that are able to meet the above requirements should email procurement@merlinhs.co.uk with their details, those of the proposed system together with references details for organisations that have put the solution into place and have successfully recovered Housing Benefit where residents are eligible to claim.'
