University of Central Lancashire's Business Change Programme.

Descriptions

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is seeking external expertise to support it in the implementation of a major change programme designed to improve business efficiency and to deliver GBP 10m recurrent cost savings in administration and support services ("non-academic services") by the end of 2015. This represents approximately 20 % of the current operating cost of the University's non-academic services.UCLan is one of the UK's largest universities with 2500 staff and a student community of 35,500. Situated in the North West of England it grew rapidly from its origins as the last Polytechnic to be created in 1972. It achieved university status in 1992.The University is seeking a company or companies to work with it in effecting the change programme - not to do it for them or to them. It needs to build its own capacity to develop and sustain long-term organisational success. We are seeking 1 or 3 suppliers to assist with business prioritisation and business process re-engineering, which will commence February 2014.The contract will be for an initial period of 1 year, with further annual extension options for 3 years. The contract will not exceed 4 years.
