Descriptions

In accordance with the University of Salford's seven year strategic transformation programme, a partner has been selected to desgin, build, finance, operate and maintain approximately 2,000 bedrooms of student accommodation at the University's Peel Park Campus. The first phase of circa 1,300 bedrooms is expected to replace existing accommodation at Castle Irwell.The first phase of development is expected to provide a minimum of 1.300 bedrooms ready for September 2015 and this is expected to include delivery of the public realm improvement works. It is currently intended that the scale and timing of the subsequent phase(s) will be reviewed at or after the completion of the first phase.The University will grant a leasehold interest in the land and will retain a reversionary interest. The University is keen to work in partnership with the developer to provide an innovative approach to the delivery of the new residences.
