UoR Harvey Building Refurbishment — Main Works
Descriptions
Conversion of the Harvey Building, which was the former library, into teaching space to provide enhanced facilities for the Department of Media, Culture and Language (MCL) to include a cinema/lecture space, film studio, editing suites and a bespoke Glulam roof to the courtyard area —totalling approximately 4 000m2 across ground, first and second floors. The appointed contractor may also undertake the next phase of works (via a new process with direct award) which includes refurbishment of the upper floors of the building and the refurbishment of the adjacent Romero Building. The University of Roehampton intends to award the contract to a single supplier of construction and completion of design services. The NEC3 Construction Contract (with Client Amendments) will be adopted.
