Upgrade and Replacement of Three Passenger Lifts

Swansea University (the Employer”) invites suppliers to Tender for the Upgrade or replacement of three lifts as required by the specification documents.Swansea University (the Employer”) advise that all works described indicate the performance requirements and design intent only. The Lift Contractor shall include within the tender submission for the development and completion of the design, including all necessary liaisons with other disciplines and statutory authorities.The Building consists of a fully occupied University on one site in three buildings. The buildings are Grove Building Extension (Total Replacement), Library Tower (Upgrade) & Margam Building (Upgrade or Alternative Replacement)The works comprise the removal of the existing Machines, Controllers and Door Operators on two lifts and the Total Removal of the third Lift. The upgrade of the existing Car & Landing Buttons to Comply with DDA along with Indicators, New Controller, Machine and Door Operator. Overhaul Car & Landing door gear including new landing locks with Euro Key release and some BS upgrade work. The third Lift will be a replacement MRL Goods/Passenger Lift. The Works on all lifts are to include all Builder & Electrical Requirements.An alternative offer for Total Replacement is to be made on the lift located in Margam Building.Further information can be found in the tender documents held within the Bravosolution eTendering portal.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
