The objective of this Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice is to inform the market of Dublin City Council’s intention to enter into a contract with Convergint Technologies Ireland Limited in accordance with Article 32.2(c) in so far as is strictly necessary where, for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority, the time limits for the open or restricted procedures or competitive procedures with negotiation cannot be complied with. The contracted service provider notified Dublin City Council (DCC) of their need to cease all maintenance and support services contracts in the Republic of Ireland within a specified timeframe. The timeframe notified did not allow Dublin City Council to run a standard procurement process. Dublin City Council propose to award a maintenance and support contract for the Ballymun CCTV system with Convergint Technologies Ireland Limited, G9 Calmount Park, Ballymount, Dublin 12 for twelve months or until such time we can put a CCTV maintenance and support contract in place through a formal procurement process. The value of the annual contract is €87,000 (Ex.Vat) it is estimated that any unforeseen additional hours due to emergencies will be charged as per schedule to a maximum of €40,000. This is also a Contract Award Notice for the services.
