Original Equipment Manufacturers spares will be required in order to maintain certain vehicles' Statutory TypeApprovals or in instances where a manufacturer holds design rights, patents, or other similar intellectual property in the supplies concernedand/or an original part is required for reasons of technical compatibility; as provided for in Regulation 43 (12)(a) of the Public Contracts(Scotland) Regulations 2015
