Awarded

Victim Pathfinder Services for Cambridgeshire OPCC.

Descriptions

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for commissioning emotional and practical support services for victims of crime to enable them to cope and recover and where possible move on from their experience. The Code of Practice for Victims of Crime sets out the entitlements for victims of crime. The Cambridgeshire Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Victims and Offenders concluded that people with mental health problems are more vulnerable to becoming a victim of crime and becoming a victim of crime exasperates existing mental ill health. This therefore suggests that people with mental ill health are likely to feature disproportionately within the cohort of victims of crime.
