Public Health was granted financial approval to introduce a universal offer of free vitamin D supplements for residents aged 65 years and above. It is a 6-month pilot. Supplements will be provided via community settings such as libraries, faith groups and adult social care settings and local primary care partners. To deliver the pilot, Newham Council needs to procure vitamin D supplements to distribute to the public.
