Voilence Against Women and Girls Research and Innovation Fund, Component 1: What works for VAWG Prev

Descriptions

DFID is seeking proposals for a new Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) Research and Innovation Fund. The Fund aims to improve policies and expand investment in programmes to reduce the prevalence of VAWG and increase the number of women and girls receiving quality response services in at least ten DFID priority countries. Component 1 of this Fund will generate high quality and policy relevant data and evidence on what works for the prevention of VAWG. It will also support innovative prevention programmes that have the potential for impact at scale and across different contexts. Two additional components of this Fund, focusing on VAWG in conflict and humanitarian emergencies and the economic and social costs of violence, will be advertised separately. Potential applicants are invited to fill in a pre-qualification questionnaire which should include a 15 page concept note outlining their proposed programme. Four applicants will be shortlisted and invited to submit full proposals at the invitation to tender (ITT) stage. This is a Research requirement and is advertised on OJEU voluntarily.
