Descriptions
Training Delivery Voucher SchemeFlintshire County Council is looking to create a framework agreement of training providers to cover training requirements for it's Social Care Workforce Development Programme. The Social Care Workforce Development Programme (SCWDP)training voucher scheme gives independent and voluntary sector social care staff working in the Flintshire area only access to mandatory / core training from an approved list of training providers. To receive vouchers, social care providers operating in Flintshire must first of all complete an annual workforce questionnaire. Based on this information training vouchers are allocated based on the number of staff employed who work in Flintshire.Training vouchers can be exchanged to gain subsidised access to core mandatory training:•Emergency First Aid•Moving and Positioning Passport (2 day course)•Moving and Positioning Refresher (1 day course)•Medication•Infection Control•Food Hygiene•Safeguarding•Dementia•End of Life CareThe vouchers can not be used for courses not listed above.Training deliverers who are successful in being accepted onto the Framework Agreement will accept the vouchers as either full or partial payment for the above courses. We are seeking to secure training providers who are able to deliver quality training in the subjects listed above. Quality of training is important along with demonstrable subject specialism knowledge. All organisations must ensure that adequate Policies and Procedures are in place eg Data Protection, Health and Safety, Welsh Language Policy, Safeguarding. All deliverers of training must ensure that their staff are briefed and are up to date with these standards. The training organisations must show a full understanding to the core values and principles of care workers as set out by the Care Council for Wales in their Code of Practice. This Framework Agreement is initially for one year and may be extended further subject to SCWDP funding. There will be a Meet the Buyer Event including a tender workshop from Business Wales at 5pm till 7pm on Thursday 24th April which will provide guidance on the tendering process.
