Facilitator required for Exercise Wales Gold Strategic Multi Agency Accredited Training Event for 2016 - 20181. Brief Description of roleWe require a facilitator with relevant facilitation experience and experience of working within a civil contingency environment. As the facilitator you will be expected to summarise actions and challenge decisions made by delegates undertaking strategic level resilience and decision making simulation training. You need to be able to consistently aid learning and understanding of the related processes across the various events.2. Dates requiredThis role is offered on a self employed basis only to provide facilitation for the Exercise Wales Gold accredited qualification training events on the dates below, please note you would be required to attend all dates.2015Pilot Session - 24 November, 2015 - Pilot day in South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Training Facility, Cardiff Gate2016Session 1 - 25-26 February 2016 - South WalesSession 2 - 1-2 March 2016 - GwentSession 3 - 30 – 31 March 2016 - Dyfed PowysSession 4 - 15 - 16 June 2016 - North WalesYou are required to attend all pre event set up days, one day prior to all the events listed.There is scope for further dates to be negotiated as required, to repeat the role at all venues during 2017 and 2018.Dates for 2017/18 to be informed and agreed 6 months in advance.3. Requirements:Facilitation skills and relevant experience of working within multi workshop training environments bringing delegates together for open plenary discussions.Ability to assimilate information following each group session (of which there are four) in order to challenge decisions being made and the differences there in during plenary sessions.Understanding of Emergency Services response to major incidents.Ability to work in partnership with the diamond panel of experts to draw upon their experience and knowledge in order to respond to any queries.Provide signposting as a result of the plenary discussion towards correct protocols and procedures.The training events are held within a Hydra Minerva training facility, and be expected to listen and observe the workshops from the control room to make notes.You will also be expected to work with Wales Gold Design Build and Delivery team within the control room, who will be gathering observations on your behalf from the workshops, which you may find relevant to you for the plenary session.Ability to work with Hydra Minerva is desirable but not essential.Ability to work with PowerPoint is also desirable but not essential.Provide a full CV for inclusion within the accreditation process.To undergo one observational facilitation session as part of the accreditation process.Contribute to ad hoc wider briefing and debriefing of training provided.Provide a full tender schedule of services as shown in annex 1.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=35215.
