Ordnance Survey Ireland currently operate the warehousing and distribution of paper mapping products from our headquarters in Phoenix Park, Dublin 8. As part of this tender, OSI intend to move the warehousing and fulfilment of its paper mapping products from its current location to an external service provider. This will involve the transfer of our current stock of mapping at headquarters to the appointed supplier as well as the direct management of periodic supply order consignments with OSI’s three current printed map suppliers supporting OSI operations, as well as fulfilling c. 10,000 – 12,000 orders direct to customers via post, and to a network of distribution agents selling maps on OSI’s behalf. OSI intend to award a contract for a two-year period, extendable, at OSI’s discretion and subject to satisfactory performance, for two further one periods, bringing the overall duration to 4 (four) years, subject to strategic alignment, budgetary allocation and satisfactory performance. OSi has a requirement for the management of Product Warehousing and Distribution Services as detailed in Appendix 1, for all OSI SKU’s.Sales and stock management figures provided are subject to best estimates, on OSI’s part, are subject to variation, and no guarantee of commitment to these levels of warehousing and distribution are made by OSI through the signing of a contract subsequent to the completion of this procurement competition.
