Waste Classification and Categorisation at Nantyglo Skip Site

Blaenau Gwent requires an experienced company to undertake a detailed assessment of all stockpiled waste at Nantyglo skip site.The Works will include a full assessment of all the waste materials, including all waste stockpiles and derelict plant, containers and vehicles on site to confirm the type and quantity of material present. The assessment will comprise of classification of the waste in accordance with the Waste Classification Technical Guidance WM3. The waste classification and assessment procedures are set out in WM3, and should be used to determine whether there are any hazardous properties within the waste and give a description and estimated quantity of each type of waste present. There is waste contained within the main stockpile, paper stockpile and lorries/containers on site. There is also general scrap and waste spread along the floor of the site in general.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
