WCBC Data Storage

Descriptions

Wrexham County Borough Council are looking to review the market place and the technologies available to provide a secure, innovative, resilient and cost-effective solution for the storage of WCBC data over the next 5 years. Our current storage solution offers around 50TB of usable space on two Hitachi HDS2500 SANs, the primary SAN being synchronously attached via dark fibre to an identical HDS2500 on the Disaster Recovery site. The current solution reaches end of service life within three years and currently serves a mixed physical and virtual infrastructure with Microsoft, Solaris and Linux operating systems.Since storage requirements have almost doubled since 2011, the proposed solution should provide for straightforward expansion as required, and include options for disaster recovery, with inbuilt reporting and management facilities.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=27415.
