WCC - Reprocessing of Separately Collected Food Waste
Descriptions
Warwickshire County Council is a waste disposal authority and is seeking to appoint a Supplier for the reprocessing of separately collected Food Waste. The initial contract term will be for a period of 5 years. However, the Council reserves the right to extend the Contract by further periods not exceeding 60 months (5 years) in total. The maximum contract term will be 120 months (10 years). The Council is procuring the following lots/options: • Lot 1 - Reprocessing of separately collected Food Waste for the whole of the Warwickshire County (all five Warwickshire Waste Collection Authorities); • Lot 2 - Reprocessing of separately collected Food Waste from the following two Waste Collection Authorities - Warwick District Council and Stratford-on-Avon District Council; • Lot 3 - Reprocessing of separately collected Food Waste from the following three Waste Collection Authorities - North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Rugby Borough Council. Please note that there is currently no separately collected Food Waste service operating in North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Rugby Borough Council. Therefore please note Lot 3 and the additional services in Lot 1 will not necessarily be a 10 year contract and will run on a co-terminus basis with the services for Warwick District Council and Stratford-on-Avon District Council from the point at which it starts. All applicants must tender for all 3 Lots/options. For the avoidance of doubt, if an applicant doesn't submit a tender for all 3 of the Lots/Options, their submission will be rejected and will not proceed to evaluation. It is the Council's preference to award to a single Supplier via Lot 1/Option 1 for the reprocessing of food waste for the whole of Warwickshire; however, the Council reserve the right to award the Contract as two separate Lots/Options (Lot/Option 2)and (Lot/Option 3)) at its absolute sole discretion. This may be for reasons(including but not limited to) that the awarding of this Contract as two separate Lots/Options provides significantly better value to the Council in terms of the overall annual service cost compared to Lot/Option 1. However, even where this is the case, bidders are reminded that our preference is to award Lot 1/Option 1, and the Council's decision will be final. Further detail can be found in the ITT.
