Braemar Community Limited is seeking to commission an experienced web developer to re-develop the Braemar Castle website in line with current National Lottery Heritage Fund guidance. The scope of the work includes: 1.Full redesign and update of website architecture for Braemarcastle.co.uk to reflect organisational re-branding and refreshed castle imagery – full branding details, logos etc will be supplied 2.Integrated tour booking facility via the existing Fareharbour booking system 3.Updated and modern visual design tightly merged with social media, to increase audience engagement and conversion rates 4.Integrated with our new app guide (under development with Bloomberg Connects) 5.Responsive design and infrastructure for mobiles and tablets 6.Full ownership, training and content editing support for castle operational team 7.Webhosting facility 8.Open – licensed for use by others under the Creative Commons ‘Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY4.0) or under a Public Domain Dedication 9.Accessibility standard – website needs to meet National Lottery Heritage Fund web development standards (W3C AA compliance standard). Website re-development objectives Our website will be used to provide evidence of the impact of our project for our funders. As a priority it needs to be robust, clear, accessible and engaging to improve the user experience and make it an effective element in our marketing and promotion prior to and during the Castle’s open season 2023. 1.Review current website www.braemarcastle.co.uk 2.Produce a fully costed re-development plan to improve user experience and conversion rates 3.Site to include: booking system (linked to Fareharbour); pricing information; events, activities and learning; castle and grounds digital tour; volunteering opportunities (linked to Team Kinetic); Our Community’s Castle story; web shop; social media and blog; visitor feedback and mailing list sign up options. 4.Staff training on content preparation, editing and reporting website usage data 5.Deliver the plan to agreed timescales
