In 2014, North East Lincolnshire Council procured a study into the provision of a series of strategic highway links on the western outer periphery of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, in anticipation of a high-growth Local Plan. The study showed that a number of potential link roads may provide good value for money, while assisting in the accommodation of traffic growth due to increases in housing and industry.The Council is now seeking a suitably qualified Consultant to produce an Outline Business Case for 2 of the strategic links as per the above study. This will consist of a link between the A1136 — A46, and subsequently from the A46 to the A16.
