Wet woodland hydrology and river banks protection

Descriptions

We are inviting expressions of interest for a report on the hydrology of an existing wet woodland and its management to prevent further soil erosion within a local nature reserve. We are trying to determine how we could manage more effectively the hydrology of our local nature reserve at Cwm du Glen and Glanrhyd so as to:-Prevent/ manage effectively any further erosion to the pathway adjacent to the river in the Cwm Du Glen section of the nature reserve-Prevent any further erosion to the banks on the sides of the cwm which is the main cause of loss of trees and small landslides-Manage the culverts/ ditches more effectively in the Glanrhyd section of the nature reserve so as to prevent flooding of paths down below. We are specifically looking at innovative solutions which will be as least intrusive and as much sustainable as possible and which will have minimal impact on the ecology of this rare ancient woodland. Please feel free to send an initial quotation as part of this expression of interest.Should you have any queries or wish to discuss further, please contact Marie Fowler, Green Infrastructure Officer, by email m.fowler@npt.gov.ukResponses to be received by 20th Jan 2023
