Descriptions
The contract involves conservation work to the twin masonry towers of the Inner Gatehouse and the N E curtain wall of the inner ward at White castle Monmouthshire, which is a scheduled ancient monument. The work will require erection, maintenance and dismantling of a designed scaffold. Due to the nature of the site, the scaffolding of the Inner Gatehouse is to be supported using gallows brackets to be installed by rope access using suitable anchors secret fixed to the masonry walls. Prospective Contractors must demonstrate:- That they have worked on projects of a similar nature at ancient monuments and or historic buildings.That they have worked on projects where gallows brackets have been used to support the scaffolding structure. That they have worked on projects where they have used rope access and that rope access will be undertaken by qualified personnel who are IRATA registered.
