Windmills Careers Workshops for Foundation Year 1 Doctors across the West Midlands

Background HEE WM is responsible for providing two-year Foundation Training Programme to 1300 foundation doctors across the West Midlands Foundation Schools. HEE WM wishes to procure 400 places on Windmills Careers workshops to meet the outcomes of the Foundation Curriculum 2016, to enable F1s to consider their career options and how they may plan their post-foundation career. The workshop should be delivered under the Windmills licence held by HEE WM. Principles The course will need to: •Incorporate theoretical and practical elements i.e. brief presentations, group discussions and practical exercises •Be relevant to F1 doctors in training and to the Foundation Curriculum (2016) •Be evaluated by the learners and a certificate of achievement awarded on successful completion of the course •Be provided by an established provider in the delivery of similar courses •Provide access to course materials and/or e-learning resources The course must be delivered as 20 one-day sessions with 20 delegates per session. The courses should be delivered in Post Graduate Education Training Centres at local hospital Trusts in the West Midlands.
