This project aims to establish a dedicated Women’s Resource Centre with a culturally sensitive approach towards meeting the needs of Bangladeshi women, who have been identified as one of the most marginalised members of the community.
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has identified a site in Whitechapel which will be converted into a Women’s Resource Centre (with focus on Bangladeshi women), by undertaking internal refurbishment works. This will include strip-out works, light-touch fit-out works, mechanical and electrical works and minor external works.
