Wrexham Borough Council (WBC) wishes to build a modern data centre in the basement of an existing building known as Lambpit Office in the city of Wrexham.A room of approximately 59 m2 has been assigned to the project in the basement area to house ten new equipment and telecommunications racks.A generator-backed mains power supply will be made available in the room with a capacity of 100 amps three phase.Access to the room is quite difficult with two stairwells and a small passenger lift. Bidders must visit the site and make measurements to ensure that any equipment proposed can practically be delivered and assembled in the given area.The data centre is to be designed to the principles of BS EN 50600 Class 3 wherever possible.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
