The Council propose to construct new and improved roads to provide access to Wrexham Industrial Estate. The major civil construction works will not commence until Spring 2011. This Contract is to carry out Advance Works which will facilitate the commencement of the major works. The "major works" are the subject of a separate procurement.The Council is seeking a single organisation (with the relevant experience, skills and capability) to carry out the Advance Works which will comprise :-Setting out and establishment of temporary and permanent fencing (Approx 12,000m)Demolition (One domestic dwelling)Site Clearance - Trees/hedges/scrub vegetation/environmental (Approx 5ha)Site Clearance - General (Approx 30ha)Ecological Exclusion / Translocation (Approx 5ha)No work can be guaranteed at this time. The final scope will depend upon the satisfactory completion of Statutory procedures, and also upon ecological time constraints. If the required ecological works should prove unachievable within this Contract, then they may be removed from the scope of the Contract and be subjected to a separate procurement process.The Advanced Works Contract may therefore be granted for a reduced scope of works.
