X-ray powder diffraction equipment.
Descriptions
The University of Aberdeen has procured two new X-ray powder diffractometers. One of the instruments is a high-resolution X-ray powder diffractometer for Rietveld analysis which should operate up to 60 kV. Such an instrument is capable of both transmission and reflection measurements. The system will also support both focusing (Bragg-Brentano) as well as parallel beam geometries. A second X-ray powder diffractometer is for more routine phase identification work.
