CASPS is a diversion from custody statutory requirement option available to sentencers in Magistrates Courts within the Northumbria area. CASPS will be added to community or suspended sentence orders as a requirement and enforceable through the breach process.The requirement is available to people aged over 18 who, at the point of sentencing, were eligible and suitable to receive 6 months or less in custody for any offence type.
