The CBDC unit of the Bank of England is working with Nuggets Verified Self-Sovereign Decentralized Identity to investigate and design the identity and privacy layer as part of its efforts to ensure privacy and security for the proposed digital pound.

This contract has already been awarded and is published for transparency purposes. This procurement was for a consultancy to deliver a privacy preserving prototype for determining household compositions to the Cabinet Office.
